ACLS Humanities E-Book is a digital collection of over 2,300 full-text titles offered by the ACLS in collaboration with twelve learned societies, nearly 95 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. The result is an online, fully searchable collection of high-quality books in the Humanities, recommended and reviewed by scholars. HEB is available 24/7 to Watson's WC community on- and off-campus through OhioLINK's link. Off-campus users will authenticate to access, http://www.ohiolink.edu
The Humanities project E-books also are linked individually through the OPAL and OhioLINK catalogs. Off-campus users who need information on access should call 937-382-6661 x345 or x346.
Here is a link that describes the books included (browse or full-text search) and the outstanding functional features of this new project that adds even more older and newer titles every day: http://www.humanitiesebook.org/intro.html
As an example of the powerful full-text searches of the books in this ebook collection, a search of "Herbert Hoover" revealed exact citations and quotations for 105 books. Four books mention Dorothy Day, especially in notes.

One resource already in place is available to all Ohioans thanks to the State Library of Ohio: Learning Express Library. Please share this information with those about to engage in job searches or new career paths.
Get ready for your next big test or job interview with LearningExpress Library. LearningExpress features online, interactive practice tests for the: ASVAB, Civil Service Careers, GED, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, PPST Praxis I, TOEFL, U.S. Citizenship and much more. LearningExpress' online, interactive practice tests offer instant scoring, detailed answer explanations, and a personalized analysis that identifies your strengths and weaknesses in each major content area so you'll know how to prepare.

Those not affiliated with Wilmington College may use their local public library account information to access Learning Express. Public libraries have more information available about this service, no additional charge to users.
July 16, 2008: Newest additions in streaming instructional videos at Watson
For those of you with an interest in instructional videos, here is the list of titles most recently added to the Watson/OhioLINK collection of streaming videos. We still have a few weeks left for summertime reading! In addition to our very current leisure-reading selections (you know - romance, intrigue, murder, mystery, and mayhem), our "new additions" display includes the following non-fiction titles on current topics - and many more - ready for check-out now. Everyone who works at Wilmington College is welcome to borrow items from our collections. Please ask for Joni or Jean for more information, x345. "If we don't have it now, we very probably can find it for you quickly."

May 28, 2008: New titles in the Watson/OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center - searchable and full-text!
Here is just a sample of the many titles we are adding to the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center. It is possible to browse articles in single issues or to search keywords in just one journal title or all titles. Please contact Patti, Lee, or me for more information on getting the most out of your full-text journal collections. Tip of the Day: Did you know that Watson's full-text journal articles have persistent URLs, meaning you can provide students with direct article links in lieu of handouts/paper reserves via email, your website, or your online class site?
"The links work best on the campus network. Off campus, login to OhioLINK and then try. Alternatively, search the EJC by journal title to browse the content of entire single issues." http://www.ohiolink.edu
